Returning to California

Leaving Chicago for a period of time longer than about ten days has always been a difficult task for me. This time is no different. I'm about to have father's day dinner with my parents and am dreading the fact that I'm leaving again after -- this time not to return until the very end of July. However, I leave with hopes for the future. In the nearly two years I've lived outside of Chicago, this is the second trip that I've felt this way -- the first being less than a month ago.
